Mr Fish and his Spooky Library of the Impro Macabre – Wellington New Zealand
An exploration of the darker side of improvisation.
Created with the desire to do more than just amuse, Mr Fish seeks to challenge and test audiences. Discovering early on that inducing laughter was easy, having the audience feel something, deeper, richer, scarier, truer – that was a goal worthy of achieving. Grounded in storytelling Mr Fish seeks to explore the root of humanity and improv – fear. Laughter is easy, fear is riskier.

The Improv Monologue Project – Austin, Texas USA
Created by Mike Fly
The Improv Monologue Project is exactly that – a spontaneous monologue performed by an improviser without any preparation!
Mike would go to impro festivals all over the world and asking improvisers to come play. He would choose a location, a prop and a costume without telling you. He would take you to the location, hand you the items and say go. I was delighted to be asked to do it. Mike didn’t know I was into Sci Fi and how much I loved being handed a light sabre!
Loose Moose Theatre Homecoming – Calgary AB, Canada
Getting a chance to be back on the Loose Moose stage is always a huge pleasure. It is like coming home and putting on those comfortable old jeans you love!
This scene took place during the Loose Moose Homecoming in Calgary Alberta.

Smoking Sofa – Paris France
My 2012 teaching tour took me back to Paris to teach a series of workshops when Smoking Sofa asked me to guest in their show. It was a wonderful experience to play with them and to take the skills we had been working on in the workshops and try them on stage in the show.
This was the first time some of them performed in English!
This video is of the whole show.

Die Stereotypen – Bielefeld Germany
This clip is from my first visit to Bielefeld in 2011. Marvin and Sven invited me to come workshop / direct them and then to do a show together. It was their first time advertising and doing a show in English.
We did not plan any games or structure before hand, wanting the show to be organic in nature. This slow motion commentary style scene just arrived. When I saw Marvin’s physical actions the impulse hit.
