“Patti Stiles is a legendary teacher and performer in the world of improvised theatre. Onstage her work always sparkles with life and truth, while in the workshop setting she is thought-provoking and inspirational. The day she left Canada was a sad day for improv companies coast to coast.”
-Kevin Gillese, Artistic Director Dad’s Garage past Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre

-Keira Daley Director Twisted Melon
“I was thinking about you today and the many lessons and influences I learnt from the workshops you lead with Impro Melbourne over the last couple of years. I just wanted you to know that they have stayed with me and I chew on them regularly and they’re informing how I do and am – lots about passion, energy, enthusiasm, being generous with the people around you, failing happily, commitment, having courage. It’s great. I feel super fortunate to have had you as a teacher. You have a tremendous gift.”
-Brett Workshop Participant
“Patti again worked her magic with the group. A most memorable morning for them.”
-Lynne Cazaly Cazaly Communications
“Patti was just the energy that the students needed. She was able to transfer a lot of knowledge about improvisation and stage presence to the students. The students came out pumped. They were saying ‘awesome’ ‘that was fantastic’. She really gave of herself for the whole 5 sessions without diminishing in energy levels at all. Highly recommended.”

Impro Melbourne class participant feedback
As a teacher/trainer myself I must add that Patti is an exceptional teacher. Totally engaging, so very skilled & a great lady to boot.
I thought that overall the course run by Patti was fantastic. She is a great teacher and she was always willing to discuss the content in further detail. Overall I felt very supported and encouraged by Patti.
As for her general teaching style, I found her an absolute delight. She is very approachable, I always felt comfortable with her and her enthusiasm is always inspiring.
I really enjoyed when Patti got into the theory a bit more. We played word at time game and she got some people up and commented on how they were forming the story. She would get them to start again and try to slow the pace down, and create a platform etc. I found this really useful and enjoyable. It helped me develop a new way to approach these games instead of just blurting out random words with no sense of narrative or plot.
I was really intrigued by the level of theory involved, and the way Patti conveyed it to us via explanations and practice. I was really impressed by the games used to help free our minds and play on impulse rather than preparation.
